Richard Byrne
MBHL Arbitre 1993-present

Nick Rubbo all time MBHL stats

Nick began his ball hockey career in 1998 playing for the Stars. He immediately made an impact by being named A league MVP in 1999 with the Stars. Playing most of his career in Levels E and higher, Nick is known for his offensive abilities, leadership and knack for scoring big playoff goals on passes by his trusted partner Hugo Tassone. He has won 7 Championships over his MBHL career. He has been a key component of the Stars success over the last 14 years leading them to a Championship in 2003 and many finals appearances. Nick has won championships with the Blues, the Blue eagles and, more recently, was a key element of the VIPs A championship in 2011 and part of the creation of the Kings team that won a C championship and that are currently back to back MBHL A league champs. Due to his recent multiple injuries, management has decided that before he breaks down completely that he was well deserving of this induction.

Greg started playing in our league in 1999 for the Lynx, a team he still plays for today. He played 6 years as a defensemen before getting the big break he needed during the 2005 season. Red Army were desperate for a goalie and Greg offered up his services. That was the only game he played in nets that year and it was also the last year he played as a defenseman. His potential as a goalie was obvious. Starting in 2006, Greg became a full time goalie and has quickly become one of our league’s premier goaltenders. Greg takes up a lot of space in the net, possesses excellent reflexes and is always perfectly positioned. Anyone who has played against him knows how difficult it is to score against him, he doesn’t give any freebies. We wish Greg continued success and congratulate him on the well deserved honor of being part of the MBHL’s 2012 HOF class!

Sean has played his entire ball hockey career as a defenseman. Starting back in 1998, he played for both the Eagles and Flying Hellfish. He plays with a physical edge and intensity without ever crossing the line; this can be proven by his low PIM totals over his career. Sean has accumulated a total of 6 championships over his 13 year career with teams like: Flying Hellfish, PC Crisis and Usurper. Given the fact that he has a very busy family life (those of you who know him are aware!!); he now only plays for PC Crisis.
